how frikkin' hard would it have been to have got the geico commercial actors to take a series based on them?

the only thing that seems to designate these guys as "cave men" is the fact that they all have full beards


these could be any room-mates bitching about college room-mate level sillyness
except they all have full beards
so therefore they are cavemen

these shows have been around for a few years
not new shows
but I just discovered them, this year

and, after watching several to many episodes
of both shows
I'm struck with how lame both these guys are
when it comes to actually doing anything that would help one survive

every episode these guys spend twenty minutes
making a fish hook out of a pop-top
or making a snare out of rocks and twine
or spear out of a tent pole

or making a fish net out of a discarded fish net

and then they NEVER catch anything!

every show, their crafty, elaborate little survivor craft project is always different
and every show
they always fail to catch anything with it

what a rip-off!

every show has a segment where the guy is explaining that he's not eaten anything for five days except a few crickets, or scorpions, or grub worms

it's like watching FEAR FACTOR, or something
I'm just waiting for horse rectums

once, I saw survivor boy eat part of a fish
but that's just because he found a piece of rotted fish that a bald eagle had dropped onto a beach

looked like it'd been rotting there for three days

that's SAVY SURVIVAL EXPERTISE?

and then
that night
he set his drift-wood shelter on fire!

every show
one of these guys will say
(into the camera)
{just as he's groveling in his hovel for the night}
that should some jaguar come by
he'd be killed and eaten
because he reeks of rotted fish
has no guns nor spears
nor weapons
nor brains whatsoever
and the hovel he's built
even when not burnt
certainly would never stop any bear or jaguar

but you never see the episode where that happens
because that would be embarrassing for the show
and would gross the viewers out

it turns out, one of these guys
(i forget which one)
recently got heavily
publicly
busted
in the news
because he and the camera crew used to always go out and drive into town for burgers
between shooting sessions in the wilderness

I am still a huge fan of all the CSI shows and I LOVE House!
Just wish that writers strike hadnt happened.
I suppose we will be getting re-runs of re-runs this fall.

i notice a new geico caveman commercial where the geico cavemen are watching the show about themselves
wondering why they just didn't use real cavemen

I dont think that many episodes were made of Cavemen because that
writers strike hit a lot of new shows..we were saved by the strike
when it comes to Cavemen showing.
Who knows what fall veiwing will be like..hell ..they have their hands
full now writing the Academy Awards Show..bleh..

i had high hopes for the caveman show
because i thought they'd be funny like the commercials
but they didn't have the same actors
and all that seemed to make them cavemen
was that they had full beards
and they didn't have one single funny joke in the one episode i saw

they have beards
so they're cavemen
so anything they do is funny
that seems to be the formula

found a good tv show
you gotta have the military channel
it's called ALPHA COMPANY: IRAQ DIARY
and it follows a marine company throughout their day-to day activities
in iraq

everyone should watch it
not just to see what's really going on
but because it's great
if yer even just bored
and want to watch a good tv show
reality
adventure
tension
danger
it's got everything

OMG..watched S.L.N.earlier ..and Seve Martin popped in.
I love that guy..the old shows were hilarious.
But they did do a Billary-Obamba segment and it was funny.
At least they are temporarily leaving Bush alone..

called FREAK SHOW
they have someone who's superpower is he can shrink up to six inches
a liberal agitator named bearded clam
who's superpower is "blinding bitch juice"
the log cabin republican
the tallest nebraskan
a jingo-istic patriotic country singer who sings IF JESUS WAS A GUN
and a bunch of other REALLY weird shit

i'm watching it for the first time right now
but this could be a regular
from now on
