Well I was pulling for USA and England but they both
got eliminated in the same round so I don't even know
who's left. This tournament is just starting to heat up
though. I think we'll have to put up with the vuvuzelas
for a bit longer...

I am ok with the shrinking powers in time of war, it always happens.
And hopefully you aren't confusing me with someone who was/is a Bushy. I thought he handled the war well, the results were unquestionable. No one attacked us for years while he was running things, as opposed to 2 or 3 attacks since Obama took over a little over a year ago, well maybe 18 months, whatever. But other than that, I didn't like the guy, nor his dad. Well he did cut taxes, that was good too. I just don't like him.
Spy and tortore. WHat does that mean? When computers monitor traffic looking for key words, is that Spying on Americans? I don't know. I would like someone to watch the "henhouse" ie need to have a warrant to actually have a human listen to my phone. but scanning lines of suspected creeps, not a problem.
Torture is locking a guy in a box too small for him to stand or sit or lay down comfortably, then after several hours opening the top, throwing in a snake and slamming the lid shut. It's pulling out fingernails, chopping off fingers, and all other such activities. Scaring people, making guys wear underwear on their heads, and heaven knows women have been laughing at men's inadequate genetalia for centuries. This is not nice or very neighborly, nothing to laugh at (except perhaps the guys genetalia) , but there is a reason they say war is hell. These are activities that contribute to that saying.
What did these guys do wrong that they need a criminal trial??? Spit on the ground? Litter?? What??? Being on the wrong team in a war is a bad choice, like choosing the wrong team or something, it's not criminal behavior. If you get caught at that you get sent to a POW camp and wait out the war on the sidelines; with 3 hots and a cot, all of the Korans you can read, new limbs if you got one blown off trying to blow up our guys, for however long it takes to end the war. Only Canadian Welfare is a better deal
If you violate war rules, or Geneva convention stuff, then maybe you get put on trial for war crimes by the military. That doesn't include trying to kill our guys, that's just part of the war thing. That's the way it's been done for a bazillion years, at least in civilized countries.
These guys went through a dozen or so reviews before getting sent to Gitmo. And EVERY review was reviewed again at the next level up.
As long as we're talking about it though, I notice the lefties have no problem with Obama extorting $20 billion from BP, even though the constitution guarantees no loss of life or property without due process. Does that bug you?
Glad to hear things are going good with you bro. I think about you on occassion, maybe coming up there sometime and splitting a few dungeness.
I am getting fatter too. Been in the hospital ICU a couple of times, maybe I ought to get serious about losing weight too.

Anyway making B.P. cough up some compensation for
people in the gulf is just a spin on what happened.
Obama used zero authority he just said we expect you will
and B.P. for public relations sake said they would.
If they said NO we never would have heard about any so
called tough talk by the president. Those details were nailed
down BEFORE Obama met with Hayward.
Otherwise it would have been a federal government disaster
pool.

but mary and i were laghing because we're old enough to remember

but the guy who wrote the song was drunk
and that's the way he was singing it
so the rest of the band heard him doing it
and decided to leave it that way
