LLAMAS AREN'T NATIVE TO IDAHO
BUT THEY COME FROM MOUNTAIN AREAS IN SOUTH AMERICA THAT ARE JUST LIKE IDAHO
SO, THEY LIVE HERE NOW, BECAUSE PEOPLE RAISE THEM FOR MOUNTAIN BACKPACKING TRIPS
BECAUSE THEY HOLD TO NARROW PATHS BETTER THAN HORSES OR MULES
MORE SUREFOOTED AND STABLE
PLUS, ALSO, THEY CAN FLY!

range of marten
range of fisher
Fishers and martens chase birds in the very tops of trees
Fishers are larger animals than martens and except for travel on the
flimsiest of branches, are equally at home in the treetops. Fishers may be
40 inches in length and weigh up to 18 pounds. In spite of their large
size, or perhaps because of it, fishers are said to be the fastest animal in the trees. _________________
