I just post the jokes I don't insist you must
find them funny. Your analysis doesn't seem too flawed
to me. I think whenever you compare some politician to Hitler
you damn well better be sure they are filling cattle cars with people
to take them to the death house. I just posted this as companion to the Tea Party billboard that was all over the net last week that also
compared Obama to Hitler. Yeah I called Bush "Bushler" so you're
right it's equally as weak I know. But do I suspect that Tea Party
Morons are REALLY pissed about race? Why yes I do. Kinda hard
not to believe that when a group of them spit on a black congressman
and called him a nigger while the legislators were heading into the
Capital for the final health care vote.
Far from finding Obama radical I find him frustratingly centrist.
His failure to get a public health care option in that bill and his
utter failure to do anything but pretend to enact finance reform
is a real problem for me. The banks have just as much leeway
to hang the world's economies as they ever did. Obama makes too
many damned compromises for my taste.

You're joking,right bro? The black congressional delegation walks right through the middle of the tea party in DC, looking for a fight (physical or verbal) and got nothing. Since that non-event Brietbart has offered $100,000 to anyone who can provide him with a video of anyone calling them the "N" word just once, let alone 15 times. You'd think with all the cameras, (the left wing press was also out in force hoping to document such a thing) cell phones, personal cameras, videocams, you name it, someone would have collected it by now. But no, Brietbart hasn't paid it out yet. Don't you have to ask yourself why? Like maybe it never happened? Screw Breitbart. Don't you think that if the left wing wacko press had captured it on film, we'd never hear the end of it? But no, all we get is they said, we said. I've always resisted the notion of a communist conspiracy, but I am having to re-think that. And I am old enough to remember McCarthy too. I am having a hard time explaining what's going on with my constitution, and this outfits extreme disregard for it. I gave 15 years of my life defending it, and now I have a son defending it. Maybe "communist" is too far out there, but something is going on, and it ain't the vast right wing conspiracy.
I wish you could come down here and just hang out at a tea party, look around, and find out for yourself, these are just people, like you and me and DW and Foesad and Strobe. Some a little right of center, some a little left, but all pissed off at a government that isn't listening to them. Down here, we are the sovereigns bro, not Obama. We are to impose our will on the government, not the other way around. When that isn't happening, that's a big issue. Unlike you guys, we have to live with them until the next time around, we can't call for a vote of no confidence mid term.
And I know you guys are the sovereigns also, I was speaking to the notion that Canadians view their government as more benevolent than us who view our government as more hostile, to be mistrusted. I think the Canadian government is more responsive to the people than ours, and always has been. Canadians will tend to be more obediant to the government. It's more a cultural thing, and less about political.
Don't be too hard on your boy, he doesn't have the power to impose his will on the congress. It's the congress that let you down. Unlike your governments PM, the pres is only the guy who carries out what the congress tells him to do. The real power is in the hands of the House of Representatives. Your girl Nancy dropped the ball, not Obama. I assure you, he wanted the whole shootin match. But to get it through, they had to make compromises, with the hope that next time aorund, you'll get your public option. And they will exempt themselves from being subject to the provisions of the bill.
I think most everyone in this country (and yeah, we still have some hotheads who are bona fide racists, but they have mostly disappeared) wanted a black president, but like me, many just did not want THIS black president. Cause if he really is a centrist as you say, then he's hardly any different than Dubya, who was also a centrist. Just one is left leaning, the other a teeny bit left of center on most things, but right leaning on the rest. Unlike Canada, where conservatives and liberals are out there so everyone knows who and what they are, here we get RINO's and and Boll Weevils (conservative southern Democrats although the party has purged most of those) that obfuscate the issues and parties.
