there's a book of DATE MOVIE?
or you mean buffy the vampire slayer??
i always seem to read a lot of books they make movies of AFTER i read them
which is pretty weird
i read OH GOD before they made a movie of it
and BAT 21
and some others
but i'm having a brain fart right now
and can't remember them

Cloverfield
finally saw this one
pretty good
this one is like blair witch project
in the sense that
the whole thing is supposed to be a home-made video tape
where some 20 somethings are having a surprise going-away party for a friend
who's job is sending him to Japan soon
his best friend gets roped into videoing the guests and friends of the guy leaving
as the party is going on
asking them to give their friendship, (good-bye, good luck) testimonials
and, as he's doing this in a lame manner, some giant random monster attacks manhattan
very near their building
of course
and, of course, as they run out of the building
and try to leave manhattan
(but then decide they have to go back for one of their friends)
this guy keeps videotaping
and they always seem to be a few yards from the monster
throughout the whole film
just getting sketchy tilted glimpses over and over as they run
so the fact that it's a shaky video camera that just catches brief
half off-frame glimpses of everything
(wierd shakey tilted snatches)
is what makes the whole thing irritating
yet kinda makes it seem more realistic, at the same time
worth watching
unusual
but still good and scary _________________

i finally saw AMERICAN CAROL
it was hilarious
it was only left in one theatre
which is usually the last stop for a movie, here in boise
so it should be coming out on the cable pay per view in 6 weeks or two months
it was hilarious
that kevin farley guy ooks exactly like michael moore
except with a little glimmer of goof-ball look
to replace that pallor of sneering, sick, evil hatred that michael moore always has in his face
but, other than that
if you just glance outta the side of yer eye
and don't look too close
he looks just like the guy
even sounds like him quite a bit
it's amazing
and it's the least PC movie i ever saw
they are constantly making fun of islamic terrorists
and there are all these gags with little blind crippled children being slapsticked around
it's like scary movie3 in that sense
i think they even have the little kid who keeps getting hit by the car
in scary movie3
i found myself laughing every few seconds, consistently, throughout the movie
at all these gags that are pretty damn refreshing
because no-one ever covered their ground before _________________

THE DARK KNIGHT
best batman movie ever
not like any previous
spooky and creepy and weird
definately not something to take some ten year old kid to
even if you try, you can't see anything about the joker that lets you know it's kieth ledger
he always wears the clown face make-up
and uses a really weird voice
too bad he died
was definately his greatest role
he coulda gone on to be huge forever _________________

eeewwwwww!
saw tropic thunder
it was totally great!
somehow it was very well written and pulled everything together perfectly:
comedy and action adventure
totally hilarious
i highly recommend it
tbest thing i ever saw tom cruise do
tons of big name movie stars and yet some 13 year old vietnamese boy steals the show!
morton downey goes from a totally cool black guy
to a totally cool australian guy
the only thing i don't get is why the REAL black guy was named al pacino
in the movie
if they ever explained it
i missed it

I got hooked on TCM when I was in the hospital last september. Now I am also hooked to hockey (red Wings of course) football et al
Chick Flicks - I am glad I don't have to watch them except when Mrs Geezer ropes me into it. I don't like getting my heart broken and crying about it.
I did finally see Wild Hogs. It had some good chuckles in it. Could have either picked a funnier black guy or I think Martin Lawrence could have been directed better. I thought the epilogue during the credits was real funny. _________________ "You know nothing of hell!"

The fabulous Vietnam cliche film moments
just kept coming like Stiller in slow mo while
a reasonable facsimile of music like Adagio for Strings
played like Platoon... but CRUISE made me laugh out loud
when he ordered the grip to punch the director
"Right in the fuckin head really hard!" and the gaffer or grip
or whoever apologises first then smokes the director in the chops.
And the hair on Cruise is hillarious. He's furry and disco and aqua velva
all rolled into one. What a loathsome character. Too funny. _________________ photo-Kamloops, B.C.

Yeah The Lovely Bones is a beautiful film. Can't say enough about it.
The scenes of Susie Salmon stuck between earth and heaven are
absolutely breathtaking. _________________ photo-Kamloops, B.C.
