kiss kiss bang bang
came out in 2005
but i just saw it
weirdest movie ever made
weird in a cool way
every SECOND is weird
and then every NEXT second gets weirder
non-stop hyper weird/cool
fast paced bizzaro (Kinda) realistic noir action
i say KINDA realistic
just because any one scene might EACH be something that COULD be kinda realistic
if any one moment MAYBE happened to someone you maybe HEARD about
(it would never happen to YOU)
having it happen to them
if ONCE IN YER LIFE you heard someone tell you about it
but something on that level happens five times a minute, in this movie
so
no
overall, in totality
this is NOT a realistic movie
because THAT much shit just couldn't happen to anyone in any short amount of time
and everyone has a really sick twisted sense of humor
(EVERYONE is always cracking dry(ish) jaded black humor jokes, as all this stuff is happening
every few seconds--[like someone about to kill you is boring--so crack a weird-assed joke])
and so does this universe (that it all takes place in), apparently
which is supposed to be LA
not even LA is THIS weird
hehehe
at one point morton downey jr finally gasps: "oh this is exhausting!"
a friend of mine's brother
is a good friend of the guy who wrote this
(he also wrote the first LETHAL WEAPON)
and CHRIST! the guy musta been on a lot of meth!
hilarious
gotta see it _________________

Well for the first time I can remember I've seen most of the
Oscar Best Picture Nominees...
Avatar is visually stunning but I think I liked this film
better when it was called Dances With Wolves. Not sure
the world really needed a Dances With Wolves In Space.
Kinda wish James Cameron had an idea that originated in his
own head. He stole Terminator from Harlan Ellison and he
steals Avatar from Kevin Costner. Plus the overt politics in
the film is stiffling. American Imperialism Bad, Capitalism
Evil. Well okay Cameron if capitalism is so bad how come
you had a quarter billion for the production budget and another
half billion for the technology development to make the film
possible? You get that cash shinnin' shoes in Kapuskasing
Ontario Jimbo? Three Quarters of a billion bucks is more than
any film is worth. Coulda fed a lotta hungry children with that
bankroll buddy...
The Cohen Brothers latest movie was a total series of inside
jokes for people who are Jewish. A Serious Man is just the story
of a guy who is basically CURSED. Things for him start out awful
and get steadily WORSE till they get about as bad as they can be.
Then the movie ends. Yikes.
The Hurt Locker did absolutely NOTHING for me. As far as I'm
concerned if you've seen one tv show or movie about unexploded
bombs with guys in bomb squad suits you've seen em all.
I'm very puzzled why the Brits gave this the Best Picture BAFTA.
I can't remember what else is nominated but I'll check and pop back
in before the Oscars with a few more flicks to dump all over before
they hand out the naked bald guy statues.
Thanks for all the CRAP Hollywood. _________________ photo-Kamloops, B.C.

-District 9 nine was excellent. Except that I figured out what the
climax would be VERY EARLY on.
Good CGI. Prolly get an oscar for that if nothing else.
The film is drenched in the directors formative experiences
from growing up white in Johannesburgh in the last years
of apartheid.
All lending to a historical feel in a sci fi film.
Very well done.
-Inglourious Basterds was an awesome vengeance fantasy
that plays itself very well culminating in what every red blooded
grandchild of Allied veterans of WW II would wanna see, an
entirely different and somewhat more satisfying fall of the
third reich. Tarantino Vs Uncle Adolph and who the hell wants
to bet on the smashing silver screen outcome of that rumble?
Christoph Waltz will certainly win Best Supporting Oscar for
his role. _________________ photo-Kamloops, B.C.

An Education is just CREEPY. Who lets their 16 year old daughter
date a guy in his mid thirties? The actress is great but the movie
is ewww.
The Blind Side is something kinda special; a sports film with
very little about sports in it. Themes are much deeper than
anything usually found in the sports movie genre.
Well they hand out the statues tonight... _________________ photo-Kamloops, B.C.

yeah
avatar and dances with woofs was definately the same plot:
modern high tech white guy meets natives
modern white guy--(or maybe now BLUE guy) falls in love with native
modern white/blue guy GOES native
modern white/blue guy becomes KING of natives
hey
speaking of a space re-do movie:
i saw a movie that came out a few years ago called zathura
and it's written by the same guy who wrote jumanji
and it's the exact same thing:
two kids find a magic board game
but this time it sends you into outer space
and then everything follows the same rules:
you can't get back to normal unless you finish the game
and along comes someone who's stuck in a previous game from the past
about as amusing as the first one
worth a larf _________________

Just finished watching Free Willy part five "Die Willy Die" stunning and breathtaking at the same time. Sadly when willy stopped moving I realized there would be no part six. _________________ "I don't think you're ready for this jelly." |

I have seen it, a long time ago, but you're visually stimulating.
And of course I'm not serious. My default is to be joking preferably in a sarcastic manner. _________________ "I don't think you're ready for this jelly." |
